YooMama is the idea of founder Craig X Rubin (Craig@YooMama.com), a lifelong cannabis pioneer whose journey began in the late 1970s on the Venice Beach boardwalk. Working alongside a passionate group of hemp advocates led by the legendary Jack Herer, Craig became part of the early movement that pushed hemp and cannabis education into the public spotlight long before it was mainstream.

From those grassroots beginnings, Craig built a career that spans decades and every layer of the industry. Now, his new venture is designed to educate and transform the industry by help sales and marketing leaders to build their own teams. 

He opened one of the first hemp retail stores in Los Angeles, 2000 B.C. "The Stoned Age Hemp Shop" on Melrose (est. 1993), helping introduce hemp culture and products to a wider audience. Craig operated a hand-blown glass factory, supporting craftsmanship and cannabis artistry at scale. He has appeared in 15 cannabis films, in the hit TV show "Weeds" he played the owner of the medical marijuana club, authored three books about cannabis including 9021GROW, and has consistently used media to educate and advocate.

Craig also worked with Mike Tyson at Tyson Ranch, contributing to the evolution of celebrity-backed cannabis ventures, and has sold over 10,000 pounds of hemp in less than one year proving not just passion, but performance. YooMama is culmination of that cannabis career as he now seeks to train up the future of cannabis industry sales & marketing people. Our goal is to have multiple teams selling at least 10,000 pounds of hemp this year and we think we've built the right platform to reach that goal.
